Music for Equality at Bangalore

You have music shows and then you have music shows.

B Flat, Indiranagar along with Fight Back, an organization for gender equality, will be presenting Mumbai band K*N*A*P to celebrate equality and to fight female foeticide. Heavy sounding causes those.

Explaining the idea of spreading awareness through a music concert, Zubin Driver, the founder of Fight Back says, “When it comes to social messages, we tend to go overboard with the messaging. You end up scaring people but after a point, people switch off. A better idea is to engage them in a conversation, put ideas into people’s head about the cause." The youth, as Zubir points out are their key audience. Verily why the organisation has and continues to actively use artistic or musical events to communicate with the people. “We have signed on Hard Kaur as our brand ambassador and we will be doing a series of concerts with her," Zubir informs.

WHAT THE EVENING HOLDS

The evening will unfold with a message from the Fight Back team along with a captivating presentation. This will be followed by K*N*A*P playing soulful original folk/ alternative music. This Mumbai band is made by Nikhil D’Souza (vocals and acoustic guitar), Adrian D'Souza (Drums), Vinay Lobo (Electric Guitar) and Kenneth Rebello (Bass Guitar).
